1. Introduction

RankTennis ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information about you when you use our mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service").

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

• Account Information: When you register, we collect your name, username, and email address.
• Profile Information: City, state or region, country and ZIP/postal code, plus a street address, phone number, contact email and birthday if you choose to provide them.
• Match Data: Match results, scores, RTS ratings, doubles partners, and any changes you or your opponent suggest to a result.
• Opponent Invites: If you log a match against someone who isn't on RankTennis yet, the first name you enter for them and the match details. This is deleted from the invite once they join, or expires after 14 days.
• Communications: Messages you send through the app's direct messaging and club chat features.
• Device Information: Device type, operating system, and a push notification token used to send match and social notifications.
• Activity Data: The days you open the app or website, and counts of in-app events such as matches logged, confirmed, declined or cancelled. We use these to measure how many people use the Service and to improve it.
• Notification History: Which reminders and tips we have sent you and when, so we don't repeat them or send too many.
• Referrals and RankTennis Tokens: Who invited you (if anyone) and the RankTennis Tokens you earn.
• Coach Profiles: If you create a coach profile, your bio, rate, certifications, where you teach, and the contact phone and email you choose to publish.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and improve the Service
• Calculate and display RTS rankings
• Enable social features such as friends, clubs, and messaging
• Send push notifications for match confirmations, friend requests, and messages
• Display coach profiles to players looking for lessons
• Track referrals and award RankTennis Tokens
• Analyze how the Service is used, plan new features, and send you news and promotions about RankTennis (you can opt out of promotional messages at any time by contacting us)
• Respond to support requests
• Comply with legal obligations

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information:

• With other signed-in RankTennis users as part of the app's features: your name, username, profile photo, city, state, country, ZIP code, RTS ranking and match history are visible to them. Your street address, phone number, contact email and birthday are private: they are never shown to other users and are accessible only to you and to authorized RankTennis administrators, who may use them for the purposes in section 3, including promotions, analysis and new features.
• If you create a coach profile, the contact phone number and email you enter there are shown to all signed-in users so players can reach you.
• With service providers who help us operate the Service (including Supabase for database and authentication, Expo and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging for push notifications, and Resend for account emails such as password reset codes)
• When required by law or to protect the rights of RankTennis and its users

5. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, which employs industry-standard encryption. Data is stored on servers located in the United States. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer and processing of your data in the United States.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information in your profile
• Delete your account and associated data at any time from the Profile tab → Delete Account, or by following the steps at ranktennis.app/delete-account.html
• Opt out of push notifications through your device settings
• Contact us with privacy concerns at support@ranktennis.app

7. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from the Profile tab. When you delete your account, we permanently remove your profile, matches, messages, RankTennis Tokens and associated personal data. We may keep aggregated counts that cannot identify you (for example, the total number of matches played on RankTennis).

8. Children's Privacy

RankTennis is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@ranktennis.app.

9. Push Notifications

We send push notifications for match confirmations and reminders, friend requests, new messages, badges, and tournament updates. We may also send occasional tips (for example, when you are close to a new rank tier or a new player near you joins), at most twice a week; you can turn these off in Settings → Notifications. You can disable all push notifications at any time in your device's Settings app.

10. Third-Party Services

Our app uses the following third-party services:

• Supabase (database, authentication, storage) — supabase.com/privacy
• Expo (push notifications) — expo.dev/privacy
• Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (delivers push notifications to Android devices) — firebase.google.com/support/privacy
• Resend (account emails) — resend.com/legal/privacy-policy

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice in the app. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
